The Peer Project is supporting the Education sector of the Social Determinants of Health because they are helping at-risk and newcomer youths to stay and succeed in school. They are supporting the children's education by mentoring them and giving them support based on their individual needs and goals.

The Peer Project is also working on the social support and safety of the children under their care. They ensure that the children that they take in do not fall into the criminal justice system. They do this by providing mentors to the children whom they could see as positive role models.
